For your reference, my skin type's exactly like this right now:
- moderately oily (blotting needed every 4hrs) at the onset of the day, building up to really oily midday (blotting needed every 1-2hrs) esp. when super stressed at work
- very lightly freckled and flat scarred on the cheeks from previous breakouts
- tan in complexion -- somewhere in the MAC NC35-40 range
- Happy Skin Insta Beauty Blur Cream - great for flawless days when I like to look fresh and effortlessly pulled together
- Happy Skin ZZ Second Skin Cream - for days when I'm extra greasy (ugh) and breakouts are about to arise
- Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Liquid Makeup - I like calling this the "spend" version of Happy Skin ZZ Second Skin Cream as it functions exactly the same but sets to an even more matte finish
For days or nights when I need more coverage, these are my favourites:
- L'oreal True Match Super-Blendable Liquid Foundation - light, very flexible, sets very naturally, and wildly economical
- MAC Prep+Prime Beauty Balm - one of my favourite cheat treats. This gives me a flawless yet dewy finish. The caveat: I use a lot of this per application and being in between shades right now, I'm taking forever every morning to make it seamlessly work on my skin.
- Estee Lauder Double Wear Light - My luxe HG foundation to date. Looks fresh and intact even after 12 hours of wear during summer or frigid winter (remember: I have combination to oily skin).
Been curious about EL's foundation ever since it launched. I may swatch this this weekend. My skin is also on the combi side, currently with pimples due to frequent sun exposure, so I need something that will look natural and stay put all day. I'm also pawisin, will the EL work on me kaya?
ReplyDeleteMine holds up really well. Just veer away from the other DW variant. It's super nice on photos but heavy for us combi chicas.
ReplyDeleteAlright! Thanks :) Also curious about the Eyebrow Pencil which you blogged about recently. Perfect timing!
ReplyDeleteYAYYYY :) Yours definitely has to be super waterproof, fellow wahine!
