Solique Gel Polish by Girlstuff (and more!)

CONFESSION: I’m SOOOOO hooked on Girlstuff Forever nail lacquer! My humble collection started with just 4 colours last April 2015 and it’s now grown to 22 colours and 3 finishing coats (matte, quick dry, and SOLIQUE ). The latest addition to my roster of colours is the half-dozener from their latest range, SOLIQUE.

SOLIQUE is as revolutionary as its predecessors. Its unique formula combines the benefits of (nail) polish and gel: 2-step system:

• GEL COLOR + GEL TOPCOAT. When these two are used, and activated by sun, the combination forms a tough film over the nail.
• Product contains safe ingredients, and are mild, non-irritant and NON-TOXIC.
• The system does not need any base because the color adheres to the nail. Polish dries naturally under light.
• Over time, and especially under sunlight, nail polish strengthens and becomes more durable.

Of the 7 bottles above, one of which is the dedicated top coat (silver bottle, Php 200). The coloured nail lacquers from the SOLIQUE range will only set you back by Php 180 each. I think it’s very affordable considering its super extended wear formula (mine lasted 2 weeks until I decided I’d like to try another shade). Here are some swatches from Girlstuff Forever. When I tried some colours on, these are likely 3-4 coats each:

top to bottom:

Baby Blues (very light cyan), Midnight Dreams (duo chrome teal) Manila Girl (candy red), Just a Fantasy (bright and cool pink) Love Me Like You Do (very faint gray), Hush (paper white)

How to apply SOLIQUE Gel Polish by Girlstuff:

1. Make sure nails are clean and free of oil and lotion.
2. Do not use a base coat.
3. Apply a coat of your desired SOLIQUE Gel Polish Color. Allow to dry for a minute.
4. Apply a second coating the same shade. Allow to dry for a minute.
5. Apply 1 coat of SOLIQUE Top Coat.
6. Cure polish under sunlight for about 2 minutes or allow to dry in natural room light.

To remove, simply remove with cotton and Girlstuff Forever nail polish remover.

For the ultimate girl bonding experience, Nippon Esthetic Solutions, Keeping It Together (KIT), and TSG Clothing Co. joined Girlstuff Forever that drizzling afternoon. I was very fortunate to win a prize (each!) from Benefit Cosmetics and Keeping It Together. :) :) :) Both prizes are downright PERFECT for my need and personality.
