ICONIC. That's how the internet would mostly describe this product. I got into the Dipbrow bandwagon late last year but I changed hair colours (I used to have the Blonde pot) hence the product had to take a backseat. On my first weekend back here in the US, I recalled my brief love affair with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade and thought -- why not rekindle it at Sephora for $18 (plus tax)?
A few things coming from someone who's had hits and misses on this product:
- A little goes a long, long way.
- The key to successful application is a good brush (I use the slanted eyebrow brush from Charm) and a steady hand.
- Don't rub the product into the brows. Draw short strokes and gently comb using a spoolie to set.
While the world swears this is waterproof, I have to warn you that it isn't "Texas-proof". By not being Texas-proof, I mean it can't withstand being outdoors at 100F/37.78C. It can sit on the entire day but don't make the mistake of rubbing your brows. To remediate, I like using K-Palette Real Lasting Eyebrow 24H as base followed by Dipbrow Pomade to colour my brows in.
And oh wait -- is this...is this an FOTD post? :)
A breakdown of what I used:
- Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup in 4N1 Shell Beige
- RCMA No Color Powder
- Seraphine Botanicals Happy Hibiscus Blush
- Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippie in Naughty & Nice
- Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Soft Brown
