Do you watch Grey's Anatomy? After so many seasons (and countless character deaths), I'm still hooked on it! I particularly got my telly groove back because of Camilla Luddington's screen presence. I just love her face! Off the series, she's rarely seen all made up and whenever she is, she's my absolute girl crush.
Sleek MakeUP sent me the lot below and my unboxing hour reminded me so much of 3 of my favourite Camilla looks. I thought -- why not create a cheatsheet for our mutual reference? :)
The first look we're copping's the one where she's wearing white. She looks so effortlessly chic and based on experience, this look's easier typed in than done in real life. LOL After working on a soft brown smokey eye, work on your contour and highlight. I like how this look's not overly done -- totally workable and photogenic!
I just discovered these palettes from Sleek MakeUP and while structured and intimidating on the pan, they're actually very easy to use. The Face Form Contouring & Blush Palette in Light (Php 875) on the left's a good everyday addition to your kit. The contour powder is hallelujah -- matte and never looks muddy on the skin. The illuminating powder and shimmering blush are both oh so fine, they're newbie proof. If you're already dabbling on the highlighting game, the new Highlighting Palette in Cleopatra's Kiss (Php 875) is (shhhhhh) the dupe of Make Up For Ever's Pro Light Fusion Highlighter in Golden (check it here). It's 4x the fun and costs more than half off the splurge deal. The powders are easily picked up by my natural haired blush brushes while the luxe cream's best applied by fingertips or synthetic brushes.
*swoon*
Since Camilla's always wearing nude lips, everyone's keeping an eye on the next time she'll wear bright, red lips. On her topmost photo above, she's wearing an orange-red lip that can easily be achieved by prepping your lips with Eau La La Liner in Rouge 307 (Php 425) then filled in using True Colour Lipstick in Russian Roulette (Php 425). Both are matte but nicely non-drying. If you're going for a bolder look, you've got to try the Matte Me Ultra Smooth Matte Lip Cream in Fired Up (Php 450). Nikki quipped recently that this is one of those shades na nakaka-sexy and I can't help but agree! It sets really fast and unlike other super matte liquid lipsticks (*cough* Colourpop *cough*), it doesn't make my lips peel the day after (applying it).
Here are some swatches and hey -- I didn't swatch the Face Form Contouring & Blush Palette in Light because it disappears on my skin once blended. :)
